Because Serendipity Center is closed for two weeks for Winter Break, the biggest need at the holidays is to help families with food during the time their children are not having breakfast and lunch provided at school. For some families, covering these additional meals puts an unmanageable strain on their financial capacity. Serendipity is collecting cash or grocery cards (Fred Meyer or Wal-Mart). Any monetary donations will be used to buy groceries for the families in need.
• Grocery gift cards (main priority)
• Coats (gently used ok), hats gloves, socks, underwear, tennis shoes/boots for children (Ages: Kindergarten – 18, Boys and Girls)
• Throw blankets
Donations can be turned into the bins outside Human Resources in our Portland Office on the second floor. Monetary or gift card donations can be given to Shelly Stephenson or anyone on the HR team. We will be collecting items until December 8th.
