Celebrating Women in Construction Week: March 4-10, 2018

So happy to celebrate our 12th year working with ANEW! The organization, which stands for Apprenticeship and Non-Traditional Employment for Women, has been empowering women to enter the construction field since 1980. WALSH sponsored a jobsite tour for several of these amazing ladies in September at our Estelle project, kicked off by RDF carpenter apprentice Erica Cunningham, a graduate of the program.

ANEW provides training and support to women and men to help them pursue long-term careers – their successful pre-apprenticeship program has run continuously for almost four decades, longer than any other in the nation. Many of their students are college graduates and their placement rate with the trades is currently at 98% of program graduates. Congratulations, ANEW, on 38 years of service to our community, and to many more! anewaop.org | www.facebook.com/ANEWAOP.ORG/ #womeninconstructionweek #walshbuildscareers #teamwalshconstruction #letsbuildsomethinglasting
