Pride Place reaches TCO!

Pride Place reached TCO! So many of us at WALSH have been looking forward to the completion of this special project. Pride Place, for Community Roots Housing, sits in the heart of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, providing an affordable housing sanctuary for the community. Paired with a Generations with Pride management and office space, kitchen, and community room on the first floor, this project is set up to provide housing for 55+ individuals seeking a space in this life-affirming community. The building also features a green roof, all-electric infrastructure, and gorgeous views of the city.

Team Hammerhead Runs Hood to Coast !

WALSH Team Hammerheads had an incredible weekend with GBD Architects and Carleton Hart Architecture PC participating in the 41st Hood To Coast Race Series Annual Mother of All Relays ! Running 198 miles together, our team placed 37 out of 146 and averaged under 9 minute miles in the Corporate Men’s Open division ! WALSH teammates included Kim Smith, Jake LaManna, Brandon Fassiotto, Bryan Ware, Tyler Granshaw, Allen Montgomery and his wife Teri plus Ali LaManna who volunteered! Congrats to the WALSH team and to all of the runners who supported this annual fundraiser!!

Catholic Charities of Oregon Good Shepherd Village !

It was a great day for a project tour at the Catholic Charities of Oregon Good Shepherd Village project !

As the first regulated affordable housing development within the city limits of Happy Valley, this groundbreaking project will provide 143 affordable apartments for low-income families, veterans and seniors in Happy Valley! Part of its innovative Healthy Housing Initiative, Catholic Charities will be working in conjunction with Providence Health & Services to connect newly-housed residents with primary health and mental health care, work to decrease hospital readmission rates among homeless persons and proactively address the challenges of chronic homelessness in our region.

Pete Bruns will tell you a clean jobsite is a safe jobsite!

Pete has been with the company for over 35 years and is known for his spotless jobsites. Shown here is a snapshot from our Passive House project for Marylhurst Commons: Mercy Housing Northwest’s first affordable housing community in Oregon. Ground was broken on the project in November 2022 with plans for a grand opening in 2024.

Spencer Dailey Promoted to Superintendent!

Spencer originally joined our Washington team in our Seattle office as a Project Engineer. While there, he successfully worked on Wesley Homes, a not-for-profit offering continuing care and home health choices for Puget Sound seniors as well as the Compass Housing Alliance’s renovations to their shelter spaces to help prevent COVID transmission. In 2021, Spencer and his wife made the move to Portland and he has successfully worked with our Oregon teams on the Holden of Pearl senior living tower, the innovative mass plywood project in Fossil at Camp Hancock for OMSI and Parkview for Terwilliger Plaza!
