building SMART

A design-build approach engages our strengths in important ways.
Design-build is a form of project delivery in which owners contract with a single entity, the design-builder, to provide both design and construction services. Design-build procurement offers single-source responsibility to a client with all the benefits of proven design, engineering and construction experience; this provides the most cost-effective structure to meet any program’s design, cost control and quality requirements. Additionally, by combining the architect and contractor from the outset, you gain a single point of contact for both construction and design, which results in less redesign, in turn saving both time and money.
We have developed a vigorous integrated team approach to design-build projects and we place high value in this comprehensive team approach from the start of the initial design process.
We have demonstrated experience in leading our clients through an integrated programming, design and construction process.
WALSH has several long standing relationships with many highly qualified Northwest architectural firms and has used these relationships to complete several design-build projects across a range of owners and budgets.
As a result of our many years of managing design-build projects, we have also become skilled at assisting our clients in managing the overall process. Our ability to listen and interpret enables us to facilitate complex relationships, clarify missions and goals, and assist with long-term planning.
