In response to an ongoing need for affordable housing within the Greater Seattle area, Capitol Hill Housing has committed to developing The Station House.

Station House sits adjacent to Capitol Hill light rail station, includes over 1,300 sf of community space with 110 units available to people making 60% of the area median income or less. Targeting LEED for Homes Platinum, Station House will be a prominent example of transit-oriented sustainable development.

The mixed use project (residential, community space, garage) will be seven stories and includes 90,489 SF residential, 4,583 SF amenity, 12,925 SF garage and 1,325 SF of community room space on the 1st floor.

•Located in a highly connected site, with access to multiple modes of transportation, bike networks and community services (Walkscore of 97)

•Use of regional and local materials. Low-VOC materials & low-toxic paint, primers and finishes

•No carpets in dwelling units

•No endangered wood species used; only FSC-certified wood products

•High-efficient irrigation systems using native and/or drought resistant plantings

•Low-flow fixtures

•Minimize energy use through high-performance building envelope and efficient mechanical systems

•Minimize heat island effect with rooftop gardening.

•100% of the units will serve people making 60% of the area median income or less.
