We are so grateful to partner with non-profits like Bridge Meadows who share a passion for supporting people in our community. Bridge Meadows builds intentional intergenerational living communities that bring youth formerly in foster care, their families, and elders together. Thank you to our own John Wied CFO, for his dedication to our non-profit partners and significant commitment to such a forward-thinking and passionate organization.
On May 8th, 2014, Bob Walsh, Managing Partner of Walsh Construction Co. and Thidwick Partners was named as the 2014 recipient of the Bridge Meadows Bridge Builder Award endowed by Boly:Welch.
At the Southeast Center, being successfully completed by OWCB (including a successful parternship between Walsh Construction Co., O’Neill Electric and Inline Construction) the new Student Commons building opened this week. The campus also is gaining a new library and a major remodel of the historic 1911 German-American Society building. The $36 million project is doubling the size of the Southeast Center and is expected to serve as a catalyst for economic development in Southeast Portland.
I am proud to report that WALSH just received an Innovation in Philanthropy award from the Portland Business Journal. This is a very special award, as we received it for the collaborative and passionate way we address philanthropy as an organization, not simply the donations we make.
