Affordable housing development housing 40 single-room occupancy units and 20 studios

Cedar Commons, located in Portland’s Powellhurst-Gilbert District, is an affordable housing development built on 1.07 acres and houses 40 single-room occupancy units and 20 studios, as well as community rooms, laundry space, a leasing office, and support space. Forty of the units are dedicated Permanent Supportive Housing and ten units serve people with severe mental illness. It’s also the first development to offer clinical services for residents facing more unique mental health conditions, with a trauma-informed, on-site team including qualified mental health professionals, peer support specialists, and case managers. The building achieved Earth Advantage Multifamily Platinum Level certification and was delivered by the WALSH team three weeks ahead of schedule.
