Accommodating the social needs of 300 live-in students, the OSU Cascades Living & Learning Center features a large ground-level lounge with community kitchen, a fitness room, and study areas. 114 apartment and suite-style units have 340 designated bed spaces residing in separate three- and four-story wings which all connect to the student amenity areas. An additional building provides 14,800 square-feet of dining area and 12,400 square-feet of academic and administrative space, all on the OSU-Cascades campus in Bend. The residence hall was designed and built with the goal of being the nation’s first net-zero campus and includes design features for future sustainable power sources like PV panels and storm water reuse.
